This week, on we need to talk, we talk about eating in bed, roast, the met gala, and the prequel airdrop. The show must go on.
SPEAKER_01The show must go on. Right. Cat mobs are misunderstood. It's not easy to beat me. We didn't have a pre-production call, people.
SPEAKER_03So we're a mess.
SPEAKER_01Literally and figuratively.
SPEAKER_04All right. Cheers, everyone. Cheers, everyone. Hope everyone had a wonderful, peaceful Mother's Day. You know, let me just say this.
SPEAKER_03When people say, Oh, I want to just eat breakfast in bed, I find that gross. I'm not really not a big fan of breakfast in bed. I'm not a fan of eating in bed. Every time I think about eating in bed, and we have the bed trays and the whole thing, every time we go through the process of doing it, it's usually a dinner thing. It's just not worth it. It's hard to do. You know you're gonna spill in your bed. I got dogs. There's gonna be crumbs. Net net breakfast, dinner, lunch, and bed, all bad. All bad. Why can't I get up and go to the couch even and have breakfast on my couch? I don't need to be eating in the place where I sleep. Yeah, I feel like sometimes we just think, oh, that just sounds so decadent and enjoyable. But you know what it results in? More laundry. And I hate laundry. So why would I do breakfast or dinner or lunch in bed? I wouldn't. Yeah, no, not it. And I've done it. We do it once in a while. And I'm like, eh, it's not that great. No, I don't do it. I don't even have coffee in bed. I do none of it. I have my chocolate-covered pretzel in bed because Rich brings it to me every night.
SPEAKER_04Well, that's very nice. That's very nice. Yes. All right. Okay. Cheers. Let's say cheers. How was your house tour?
SPEAKER_03You know what? It was actually really good. We didn't get stuck in the rain until the last place, but we went to some crazy places.
SPEAKER_04Now, is it the same places every time or they switch it up?
SPEAKER_03No, they source different apartments and homes in New York City every year. So every year it's different. You don't get the map until you get there. There were seven homes. Some of them sucked, but there were four that were absolutely insane. Two of them were in that building called the Althorpe, which is by Central Park on the west side, where you go in an arch and there's a driveway. And one of the apartments in the Althorpe was a double apartment. So it was a five-bedroom. And it was just unbelievable. And some of the ideas these people have are just incredible. But the best place we went to was on West 22nd Street. It was a, I guess you would call it a brownstone, but it was a building where the people they had a garage. It was seven floors. And it was obviously, I felt like it could be like a New York Nick or something. It was super cool, very heavy, New York themed. They had a gym, they had a rooftop, they had all these sneakers. It was just the most cool apartment building thing I've ever seen on this tour. And it was $11 million.
SPEAKER_04And you don't find out who the owners are, they don't say who they are.
SPEAKER_03No, it's all anonymous. Yeah. Really cool. And also, some of the apartments, like two of them, were for sale, but the rest of them were apartments where the owners live there. So you see their clothes and you go in your their closets. You can't open drawers. You're in their kitchens and everything. And I can't believe people live like this. That's really awesome. It was very, very cool. So you go to the Astor building on East 80th Street, and it's all these like Upper East Side, Connecticut with the outfits and the scarves and the Burberry. Love every minute of it. What I noticed, which we talked about this, I think, in person, what I noticed is all of these Upper East Siders are wearing the Adidas sneaker, the samba. Mary Jane samba or regular samba? A little bit of a mix. A little bit of a mix. The Mary Jane samba and the traditional samba, but with their Burberry, so many Louis Vuittons and Gucci bags and all that and the scarves, but they're wearing the samba sneakers, and I'm like, I got a pair of sambas. Look at me. I got a little bit of something style.
SPEAKER_01Dude, I'm from Queens. I've been wearing sambas forever. They're my favorite freaking sneaker. I just love it.
SPEAKER_04But now the Mary Jane sambas is so cute.
SPEAKER_03So of course it's a trend. Yes. Of course, I'm aboard. I'm already. But you got the Hermay scarf and the Zambas. Delightful. The other part is you can even see during the house tours the hierarchy of wealth. Because I bought a general admission ticket. When I got there, I couldn't check in early and I couldn't get the map sooner. But all the people that are VIP who paid $400, which is ridiculous to me. But they also had car service and they get a gift bag and all this other stuff. So they're like, uh yes, I'm number 27. Oh, your car is right here. Like I walked. So they took a car around the city, which is what my mom used to do when she did it. But I love it. Oh my God, so crazy. But it was fun. Something that you just don't realize is going on in the city, and I'm amazed. I like those hidden things. Those are great.
SPEAKER_04Speaking of money, the Met Gallow is this week another great event.
SPEAKER_03Oh my God. Next year, I'm going to be one of those psychopaths that goes to like watch. I want to be at the Mark Hotel when Kendall comes out. I just need to be there for that. I just need it. I'm going to do it. Kylie went solo because Timmy Chalamet went to the Knick game. You know, you got to give the guys. He should be at the Knick game. That's right. Because Ben Stiller was not at the Knick game. And poor Ben had to exclude himself the next day. I'm laughing at Sterica.
SPEAKER_01I was like, oh my God.
SPEAKER_04But the outfits, I mean, every year it's the same thing. There are like amazing outfits and then there are ridiculous outfits. Yeah. So it's same shit. But just fascinating to watch.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. And this year, what I did like on one of the feeds I was watching is the theme was fashion as art. So many of the different pieces were shown with the art piece that was the inspiration, which helped because the Madonna thing I didn't understand at all. And then they showed us what the inspiration was. And I said, Oh, now I get it. Even though it's crazy, I get it. Oh, I didn't see that.
SPEAKER_04I would like to see that.
SPEAKER_03Very, very cool. Like the Lena Dunham thing, which I thought was atrocious, she explained it. And even though it was still atrocious, at least now I understood the whole point.
SPEAKER_04I don't know what happened at Lena Dunham, but she's a judge.
SPEAKER_03But oh my gosh. Just think about one thing. Jack Anton went from Lena Dunham to Margaret Qually. That's crazy. Yeah. No, yeah. All right. You know, different strokes with different things. I mean, wow, that is yeah.
SPEAKER_04No, the money there is insane. Like the money, it just screams money.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04It screams money. And even they even mentioned it on the reunion of Beverly Hills. One of the reunions, I don't even know if it was this last one, the wrap-up, but they were talking about who has money and who doesn't. And Sutton's like, how many of you have gone to the Met Gala?
SPEAKER_03You know? Because I guess Sutton has. I mean, she has real money. And Rachel Zoe has. Oh, Rachel Zoe has also, who also has real money? None of the others.
SPEAKER_04Right. Right.
SPEAKER_03Real money then. Yeah, that's the real deal. Oh my God. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04All right. So speaking of, I guess we might as well just finish that. So they wrapped. It was the last episode of the reunion.
SPEAKER_03It is time for Dorit to go to therapy. I feel bad for her. She's so angry and she's so screwed. Yeah. And I think she just needs to get into some serious therapy and be on her way. And I feel what are you doing? Your nails? What is this? What's happening here? What are you on the subway? What's wrong with you? Oh, that's disgusting. They do it on the subway. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_04No, I had like yeah, no, I just had to fix something. But no, that's gross. I hate that. I just had to fix something. No one can see me.
SPEAKER_03I'm not live on air yet. Not yet. Common people, one of these days. She needs help.
SPEAKER_04And even Kathy Hilton jumping in just goes to show because Kathy Hilton doesn't even like take a side, really, you know?
unknownReally?
SPEAKER_04And so she jumps in. And I don't know. I think Erica's a lot about Erica is like performance. So she turned on the waterworks. I don't know if I buy all of that.
SPEAKER_03But like everybody, if someone's crying, we gotta just take a chill pill for a second. Yeah. Even Andy was getting kind of angry. Oh, I said it last week. He was so I feel like in episode three, he was angrier than the others. Yeah. And he I think he has had it with this whole thing. But I also feel like Kyle doesn't understand what Dory is trying to say. Because they're all hypocrites at the end of the day. Yeah, of course. They're all fucking hypocrites. Go watch the show, people. Yeah. And when he plays the clips from years past, is everybody realizing what's happening here? Well, I mean, to be fair, do you remember what you said yesterday? Because I don't. No, well, I don't have wet brain. I mean, I don't, and I don't have wet brain. I still don't know what I say half the time.
SPEAKER_04I have no idea what I said. All right, so it's over. And we all need to press a break. We all need pause. We all need pause. But I like when they say that, like as it relates to their friendships. Yeah. We all need to press pause. I either have a friendship or I don't.
SPEAKER_03There's no such thing as pressing pause. I've never paused. I've you know seasoned over. Well, you've seasoned over it, but that's getting rid of a friend. Why would I pause if it's that bad? That's what it means to pause. Then it's season over. Right. Then it's season over. Who's pausing? There's no pausing. Life's too short to pause. Life's too short to pause. Just cut it. Life's too cut it loose. Life's too short to text your ex-husband you love him. Let me tell you something about that. The amount of texts that I got about the last names and the fact that you had your ex-husband in your phone. You know what I keep thinking about? The parentheses. Like that's my favorite part. A lot of shit about the parentheses. I have so many. I counted the number of parentheses. It's actually insane. I went back to my phone just to check my phone to make sure that everything I was saying was accurate. I have no parentheses. I have all last names. And there was one person that I wasn't sure what their last name was. And I went and asked someone what their last name was. So I put it in the phone.
SPEAKER_04We don't want mistakes. We don't want mistakes.
SPEAKER_03No, but the people that were in love with the text of your ex is so fucking funny.
SPEAKER_04Here's my other question because this just came up recently. It's not even it's not even a question, actually, because I know the answer. But do you still have your wedding dress?
SPEAKER_03No, I have my wedding dress story is really sad because Oh, I think I know this. Remember, I think I told it on the podcast. Yeah, you did tell it on the podcast. Mine's gone. If I didn't get ripped off, I would have had it. Right. I don't know what the fuck I would do with it. No one would want it. So Ed cleaning the basement to pretend we have a finished basement, which we don't, hence this fake fucking plant that's in my wine right now.
SPEAKER_04But in the one of the back rooms in storage is a lot of my shit. And one of the things is my wedding dress. But my wedding dress with my first husband.
SPEAKER_03What? So why do I need this? I don't. You need to burn it. I need to take it out of the box. I'm obsessed with the fact that I wanted to see if it's still. I want to see what it looks like. Oh, it's beautiful. I wanted to see a photo of that. My wedding dress was beautiful. Oh, I need to see.
SPEAKER_02But I wonder if it still fits. So I think I'm gonna take it out of the box.
SPEAKER_03You're so skinny. I'm sure it totally fits. See if it fits, and then I'm gonna throw it out. It's just so he doesn't even, he's just like, I do what you want. In my opinion, even if you were to use it for like a party or something, you know, as a costume or something, you can't. It's jinx. A costume. Yeah, you gotta just try it on in the dark, look at it quick, light it on fire. But you know what the craziest part is it's moved multiple times.
SPEAKER_04Like, in other words, I got married, we had it dry clean, and my dad had it, right? Because I was like, My dad had mine too, right?
SPEAKER_03Stored it in his basement. Yeah, when my dad was cleaning out his basement, it moved, finally gave it to me, and then when I moved, I moved it. It's moved multiple times. Why is the question? Has it moved multiple times? I don't know. I just feel like but did it move when you were still married or did it move after you got divorced? It both you moved it after you were divorced. This house that I'm in now, I didn't have when I was married. Oh, that's right. Oh, I hate it. Why is it here? Is the question. I don't know the answer. No, you gotta light it on fire. Yeah, it's gotta go. It's gonna go with the fire pit this summer. But first, I'm gonna try it on. Yeah, you gotta try it on. I need a photo, and then you can get rid of it. But that's freaking funny too. I'm gonna get rid of it when I delete him out of my phone. We're gonna have a ceremony. The only thing that I don't know that I would get rid of, because like I have my mom's is um do you have a wedding album from that wedding? Yeah, you can't get rid of that.
SPEAKER_02No, I I know, but this is what I mean. Can't get rid of that. I said to producer Ed, what am I doing with all this shit?
SPEAKER_03What am I doing with it? I would say the only thing you keep is the ring and the album, right? What else would you keep? And the divorce papers. It's so stupid. I don't even get it. And the ring. I can't believe you moved it when you got divorced. The ring's another thing. I want to be able to wear it because I like it, but I can't wear it. Well, yeah, no, you no, no, no. You reset it. You just reset it. Well, you got you gotta get me a guy. He's got a guy. No, I got a guy. I got a guy. I got a guy that I have a guy for. Do you have your mother's wedding album? Yes, I do.
SPEAKER_01So I have my my mother's wedding album with my father.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they've divorced.
SPEAKER_03I don't care. My parents got divorced in fourth grade. I have this is what I'm saying. They've been divorced since I'm five. What am I doing? But I have it because of course I have it. No, you have to have that. Okay, I have everything.
SPEAKER_04It's just crazy.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, no, no, no. I have that. That's your you know, that's your parents' history. Fine. Yeah, fine. Great. Okay, yeah, I got it. All right, good. Timmy needs your wedding album from your first husband.
SPEAKER_01Timmy. Cat moms are misunderstood. That's right. Misunderstood cat moms. Thank God Timmy knows one of my favorite stores and got me a gift certificate. Otherwise, I would have been really upset.
SPEAKER_04All right, you know what's making me laugh? I had to look it up. And I even asked my brother Paul, and he didn't know what it meant. But T by the C, which we love.
SPEAKER_03But you can't get the hat. I've been trying to get you the hat. I keep seeing if they redrop it and they have it. What about a cute little shirt? Yes. And why is he not doing a shirt?
SPEAKER_04He will, he will. But anyway.
SPEAKER_03For those that don't know, Dave Portnoy is in his house, I think in Florida, right? Key West. Key West. Oh, Key West. And he now does this gossip show on his own. It's so good. Called Tea by the Sea, where he just sits by the beach and spouts shit about Bravo and Summerhouse and everything. And it's amazing. If I'm chicks in the office, I'm actually annoyed because he's using their info.
SPEAKER_02And he's and he gives them credit. He says, I got this.
SPEAKER_03So he won't go on their show. But also they work for him.
SPEAKER_04So it's like you really can't be annoyed. But it is funny. So anyway, this week the gossip around the summer house craziness is that Wes slept with Jenny Fessler, right?
SPEAKER_03Yes, which that can't be true. Okay, so you guys, Jen Fessler's like six my age, right? She's 59, 58 years old, 60. Jen Fessler's older. I think I looked her up. I think she could be like 56. And how old is Wes? 29? Oh, he's a baby. Like, I don't know what he's doing. And also, she's this Jappy housewifey woman. I just don't see it. I don't know West at all, but I just don't see it. But anyway, there's a video out there that I did see that did make it look like maybe there was something going on. Oh my god, definitely. She's 57. I just looked at it. Okay, so she's our age. Okay, she's 57. And how old is West? I don't know.
SPEAKER_04I'll look him up, but he's a baby. But anyway, that's not what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_03What I'm saying is that it doesn't even matter. The reason why it matters only is because she's married. Yes. He'd fuck anything. I've learned that through Dave. Right. But Dave using this term bag of nails is like he keeps saying she's a bag of nails.
SPEAKER_02She's a bag of nails. What the fuck is a bag of nails?
SPEAKER_03I don't even know what he means by that.
SPEAKER_02So I was asking Paul, and he's like, I don't ever heard. I mean, I knew he was calling her old, but I look it up, and it really is. It's a face like a bag of nails.
SPEAKER_03What does that mean? Or an old broken item referring to an item. He just had this bag of nails in the corner. Still makes no sense. I just fucking Who has a bag of nails in the corner? Well, Ed said he has a bag of nails. No, he does not.
SPEAKER_04Yes, he does.
SPEAKER_03But it's like a rough looking, I mean rough looking. Me either. It's so meaner. He's actually an attractive woman. It's actually meaner than I thought. Then I started laughing hysterical, but he keeps using the term bag of nails. Yeah. I didn't take the time to look it up, but it is a weird story. He's 31. And she's 57. 57. It's not that bad. No, but she's about the age. It's that she's married. Right. And Dave's calling her a bag and nails.
SPEAKER_04So I mean, yeah, great.
SPEAKER_02Anyway, they're really milking this fucking summer house thing because now it's a three-part reunion. Three-part.
SPEAKER_04And it doesn't even drop until like May 26. I can't take it anymore.
SPEAKER_03And speaking of affair, how crazy are those now pictures with the Pats coach of her being pregnant? Yeah, on the boat. Also, when you're that pregnant and you're on a boat, I don't know that that's a good idea to be on a boat when you're that pregnant. That's your takeaway? That's your takeaway. I just wouldn't do it. But I was just convinced now that of course that's his baby, right? Baby Michael is his child.
SPEAKER_04It's gotta be his child.
SPEAKER_03It's gotta be. Why are you eight months pregnant on a boat to see Mike Ravel, Ravel, whatever, if that baby's not his? No, it's gotta be. And I would never get on a boat when I'm eight months pregnant. How good is the Star Wars? Like this was the baby. How cute is it? It's cool, and I didn't think I would like it, but it's from the new movie. And I'm going to see it. And look at his look at little Yoda. Fucking Yoda's so cute. It's not Yoda, that's Grogil. Grogl, yeah, that's what I mean. Get it right. To me, he'll always be Yoda. No, but he's so cute. He's Grogil. You're going to see that movie? Yeah, of course. I love the Star Wars universe. Yeah, no, I love the Star Wars universe too. But I kind of drop off on these. No, Mandalorian's one of the only one offshoots that I've watched. All right. I mean, I support it.
SPEAKER_04I support it. I usually don't support like the other stuff, but I support that.
SPEAKER_03I support that.
SPEAKER_01Did you go back to Million Dollar Secretary? Yes. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03It's such a good reality show. Oh my god, is it good? But you have you concentrate. There's no phones during Million Dollar Secret. You gotta pay attention. You gotta concentrate. Because the lying is insane. No, it's really good. So this is season two. I love season one. Host is great. Season two is just as good. We're obsessed with the house. We talked about that last year. The house is insane. Yeah, it's just a really, really good show. If you were to rank Survivor, well, you wouldn't rank Survivor, but the Traitors, Survivor, and Million Dollar Secret, I would argue were the three best game shows there are right now. Well, the Traitors is definitely the best game show. Well, for you it is. I mean, for me, this week's Survivor twist. Oh my god. I know. Paul was telling me what happened. But how dumb is this guy?
SPEAKER_02Didn't we have this problem last time? You never go home with an idol. I don't know that. Even I know it.
SPEAKER_03Believe me, he's an idiot. But now I'm thinking, because Emily got voted off last week and Ozzie got voted off this week, now I'm thinking, are the rumors true that Ozzie and Emily are together? Because they're in the jury house together, but we don't see the jury house.
SPEAKER_01Oh. Oh, that's the rumor that it is.
SPEAKER_03There's a rumor. I don't know what's true. Supposedly he has a girlfriend, but who knows anymore? I mean, who knows anymore? But Ozzie's a fool. She's not a bag of nails, though. She is sort of a bag of nails. She's a little rough. Yeah. All right. Survivor's so good. I wish you would be on it. Ed went back. I watched You didn't go back? No, I watched the Mr. Beast episode. Was that not a sick episode? You know what I didn't realize when we were talking about it? He did that in his game show. Oh, well. I don't watch his game show. I know, but I did.
SPEAKER_02It's actually a good one when he flipped the coin and doubled the pot. So that's good. But now Paul just told me, which upset me, this is why I didn't go back, that the Billie Eilish thing was like a fake. She's not even a fan of the show. So now producer Ed is saying, Wait a minute, that can't even be. That's what Paul said. And now producer Ed is saying, well, they're probably trying to get young viewers, which that could be true. Now you just get random people who are not really fans of the show.
SPEAKER_03That makes no sense. I need to do a deep dive. That can't be right.
SPEAKER_02And speaking of reality shows, I did not know. I thought that I was watching a Kevin Hart special, like a stand-up. I thought he was dropping a stand-up stand-up show before his roast, which is tonight.
SPEAKER_03Actually, tonight, which I'm psyched about. But no, it's a reality show. Yeah, it's to find the funniest comedian. I did not know it. I haven't started that yet.
SPEAKER_04But you don't even like comedians. That's exactly what I was just gonna say. I don't like comedians. That shows for me, not you. So I'm sitting there and I'm watching these people. They're trying to get to the next round of First couple episodes are in different cities and they're trying to get to the next round. And they do five-minute bit.
SPEAKER_02I would think is very hard because sometimes comedians set up what I set up their stuff. I'm just sitting there staring at it. I didn't laugh once because I don't like comedians.
SPEAKER_03Well, that's what I was gonna say. If you don't like comedians, I don't know why you would even waste your time. Well, I watched a couple episodes. I love Kevin Hart. Tonight's Rose should be fun. I heard it's gonna be brutal. Good. He wanted it. No, I can't wait. So it's live on Netflix, right? Yeah.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03Great. So maybe some of our listeners already watched it because today's Monday for them. But it's fun. So I hope it was so funny.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I hope it was funny too.
SPEAKER_04Speaking of not funny and actually fucking serious, and my head is hurting from it.
SPEAKER_03Is that bear drop? Okay, so for anybody that doesn't know, out of the blue. Don't say the ending. I'm not gonna watch out of the blue, the creator of the bear, Chris Storer, drops an episode called Gary. Now, apparently, John Bernthal and Ebon Bach Ebon, whatever his name is, Bach, right? What's his name? Moss Bach, whatever his name is. Cuz and Mikey. They wrote this episode themselves about what happened the night before Cuz. Oh, it's the night before? Yeah, so it's the night before.
SPEAKER_02I was wondering that.
SPEAKER_03So it takes place. Remember in the fishes episode in season two, they're talking about. Right. They're talking about how she's about to give birth. Right. Or she's sick or whatever. So this must have taken place after that, the night before Eva was born. So they go on a road trip to deliver something or pick something up for their uncle. For their uncle. And it is super, super, super intense and heavy and brutal and rough. And they wrote it themselves.
SPEAKER_04And I read that they felt that they never really explained the relationship that they had. Right. And so you always see like Cuzzy grieving. Yes. You know, he's grieving for four seasons, but never really saw the relationship. And if you watch it, it really is brutal.
SPEAKER_03Brutal. It's actually really brutal. Yeah. And I love them both. Acting in this episode is just incredible. And then the woman, Sherry, at the bar, we've seen her in a lot of different shows. Yes, yes. She was extraordinary in this as well. She was.
SPEAKER_04But I'm not going to root it for anybody who has not watched it. But when the episode ends, it ends in what they are saying is real time. Yes. So when season five, which is the final season, drops on June 25th, the ending of this episode. We don't know if it's going to pick up or it's going to be a little time forward, but you have to watch it before season five drops on June 25th.
SPEAKER_03I love this idea of these mysterious episode drops. I think I like that creators should do more of that because there's always things we want to know about our characters in our shows. And it's a great opportunity to use this device to show us those kinds of things. I just thought this was a brilliant move. Chris Stuar is a genius, I think. But the way that they wrote this and even the way the camera angles are. Oh my God. You guys, if you've watched The Bear, you need to see this obviously before the season five premiere. But if you didn't watch The Bear and you're mentally prepared to watch it, I suggest you watch it now before June 25th.
SPEAKER_04You know, we've made comments on this show before that we think the bear you should be over. It's coming to an end.
SPEAKER_03But it really is a great show. And you could say like one season better than the other, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. It's not an even show. Yeah, it's just really good. It's uneven, but it's excellent. And there are some. I'm looking forward to season five, which is the series finale. Yeah, this there are some episodes of the bear that are probably some of the best episodes of the fish episode television. It's the best. Best. And forks. I mean, the best. Forks.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, forks. Fish episode. When you really think about things and you think about great episodes, I always think about that. I always think about certain episodes head last year.
SPEAKER_03Forks was insane. Like the Christmas episode in Ted Last.
SPEAKER_04So there's like standout episodes in series. Like they just stand by themselves. Yeah. All right. So that's that. That was this week, which was really like, do I need this this week?
SPEAKER_03I don't know. It was rough. Right. We need to add more things. No. It was rough. Thank God the Knicks. Wait, so one thing about the Knicks that I have to say that I didn't know until yesterday. So Jordan Woods is engaged to Carl Anthony Towns. Did you know that? Yeah. How come I didn't know that? Oh, do you follow the Knicks? I do, but I didn't realize that. So the only reason that I found this all out is because Timothy Chalamet, Kylie, Jordan, and Kat all went to Fort Charles for dinner after one of the games. They do that often. I don't know about Fort Charles, but they go out often. But I didn't realize that because I know nobody gives a shit. And I was trying to explain it to Rich yesterday. Of course, he doesn't give a shit either. But Kylie and Jordan Woods were enemies because Jordan Woods made out with Tristan Thompson, who was the baby daddy of Chloe. I know, but I didn't know that she was engaged to him. The first time I saw them breaking bread together, I was like, what the this is out of a movie? I don't know how I missed that. Yeah. No, it's good. That's insanity to me. They got engaged on Christmas. I don't think I made the connection. That was the Jordan Woods, that was Kylie's Jordan Woods. And I don't think I made the connection that that was the New York Knicks guy. Like, I just don't know why I didn't. She's got a fucking big ass emerald ring, and I bet you it's not a lab diamond. No, that's probably real. Yeah. Although, although who would know and who would care?
SPEAKER_04I did do the test with Paul Each.
SPEAKER_03She brought in her lab diamond. Oh, she did? Yeah. I did the test. You can't tell. And you're not supposed to tell. That's the point. Yeah. That's the point. Yeah, I know. So you gotta get a guy. Let's go. I got a guy. I gotta just talk to Amy and she's gonna hook me up with her guy. All right, good, fine. All right, what else this week? Nothing really. Your friends and neighbors is still on. Good. Yeah, but that episode was brutal too. Oh, brutal. No, first of all, you guys in friends and the episode before, when it ends like that, I'm like, I can't watch this next episode. Yeah, brutal.
SPEAKER_04Brutal.
SPEAKER_03So John Ham's dad passes away suddenly.
SPEAKER_04Can't do it.
SPEAKER_03But the Mayor Winningham thing, oh my gosh. And also just the everybody's at the mom's house after the way they did it from John Ham's point of view. Yeah. And what was going on in the house and everything was just too much. Too much. Too much. Yeah, too much.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. So we move on. And then we have, I think I fucked up. I know, I know you edited out because you're such a good editor. You did. Rooster didn't end. It's still on, for the love of God.
SPEAKER_03I thought it ended. You didn't even have to bring up your mistake because I took it out of the show. But it did it feel like it ended. Not to me, but when you said it, I went along with you like a moron.
SPEAKER_04Because I just was-oh yeah, it ended.
SPEAKER_03No, I felt like that's the perfect ending.
SPEAKER_04He's gonna have this baby, and she tells her father, and it ends like that. But no, we're gonna still keep going. Keep going. Fine, fine.
SPEAKER_03And I can't believe that other fucking show is back soon for season two of the vacation, whatever they went on vacation with. Oh, yeah, four seasons. Horrible show. I mean, back for season two. You know what? The only reason it's coming back is because Tina Faye wrote it. I mean, I love Tina Faye.
SPEAKER_02I know, but we didn't make a fan. Let's go, Tina.
SPEAKER_04But no, I mean, it was fine for what it was, it doesn't need to come back for season two. Yeah, it was not good. No, that's it. And Hacks is still on. How many episodes are we gonna have in Hacks?
SPEAKER_03Um, I can tell you that. The other thing that I wanted to discuss was Ted Turner. Yeah, because I gotta say, talking about your ex-husband, yeah, Jane Fonda and Ted Turner have been divorced for over 20 years. Yes, and her tribute to her ex-husband was just mind-blowingly beautiful. Please, I'm knocking on all the wood in this basement, but I feel like that's what Demi is going to do about Bruce Willis, yeah. Because that relationship is beautiful, yeah. Wow, what a tribute! Yeah, what a tribute. Okay, Hacks has 10 episodes. Oh, okay. So we have three left. Tonight should be the last rooster. Tonight. Oh, all right.
SPEAKER_02Who knows? I'm not gonna say anything.
SPEAKER_03We're watching. Everyone, the Knicks win this today.
SPEAKER_02I don't know.
SPEAKER_03You know when they win.
SPEAKER_04You guys know because it's Monday for you, but I don't know that I don't know the answer.
SPEAKER_03Oh, no. So the Knicks won. I hope so. It's gonna stay positive. I I get so nervous. You know, you know, Ed's looking at flights and this and that. I'm like, I know you don't jinx it, but I get it. Let's just get out of this round, everyone. I know. New York City's gonna burn. You realize that. New York City's gonna burn down. I get it, but it's dangerous. Let me say it's not badies anymore. Let me say this.
SPEAKER_02Timothy Chalamet has never seen ever anything. No, he's 30 years old. No, we had a good season last year, I get it, but he's never seen anything.
SPEAKER_03No, it's like a dream for him, exactly. Which is again very nice. I get it too. Yeah. All right, what else do we have? Anything before you have the game? Hopefully, you didn't forget the game. Nope. The game, I already had the idea. I'm happy with my game choice. Okay, what is it? This game is Name That Mom. So I'm gonna give you some real kids, and you have to say who the mom is. You have to name that mom. Okay, so I'm gonna give you an easy one first. Whose kids are Kim, Chloe, Courtney, Rob, Kendall, and Kylie. Jenner. Very good. See? She looks fabulous by the Met Gala? She looks fabulous. Stunning. Okay, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivian. Name that mom.
SPEAKER_01Oh, that's uh Brad Pitt and uh Angelina.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, see? Easy game for you. I don't think they're on good terms. I don't think so either. I worry about those kids. Blue Ivy, Rumi, and Sir. Name that mom. Oh, that's uh what's her name?
SPEAKER_04Married to the rapper.
SPEAKER_03What's her name? The biggest star in the world. Blue Ivy says. I tried to keep it so easy for you. What's the name of uh oh North.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, North.
SPEAKER_03Can you wait? Can you name all of Kim's kids? No fucking way. All I know is North. I can name it. What's the other one? West Saint, Psalm, Chicago, and North. Som? Yep, P-S-A-L-M. I get that you're like, well, Kanye West named these kids. Alright, okay, fine. Remember? Okay. Terrible. The kids' names are Lordus, Rocco, David, Mercy, Stella, and Estere. Name that mom. Actually, it's not Estere, it's Esther. The only one I know as a Lordess is Madonna. That is correct. She has all those kids? Yes. I didn't even know she had all those kids. Yeah, she has a lot of kids. With the same guy? Well, Lordus is with one guy. Yeah, I know who Lordis is. Rocco is with another guy, and then David Mercy, Stella, and Esther. She birthed all those children. No. David Mercy, Stella, and Esther Esther. She spells it weird. Are all adopted. Oh, that's great. Okay, good for good for that. Yes. Okay. Violet, Serafina, and Sam. Name that mom. Oh, that's fucking Affleck. That's not the mom. Yeah, I don't know. No, I hate her. Okay, well, if you hate her, what's her name? I don't know. It's Ben Affleck's kid. That's not the name of the game. The name of the game is name that mom, not name that. I try to block her out. That show's so bad. I'm glad it What's her name? You get it wrong if you don't get the name right. No, you know I got it right. I know Ben Affleck and the girl I don't like. The girl you don't like has a name. Denise Witherspoon show. What's her name? What's her name? I block it out. I'll give you a clue. This is the time of the season when you plant things to grow outside. Spring? No, what's her name? What is it? What do you plant? What do you plant? What do you plant?
SPEAKER_04Flowers.
SPEAKER_03In a garden.
SPEAKER_04Oh, yeah, gardener. Yeah.
unknownTerrible.
SPEAKER_03Jesus. I hate her.
SPEAKER_01Okay, go ahead.
SPEAKER_03That's it. You got all five right. Sort of. Sort of. Sort of. That was a good game, though. I like it. I like Name That Mom. We'll do Name That Dad, too. Yeah, we'll do Name That Dad. Baby Daddy. Right, baby daddy.
SPEAKER_04All right.
SPEAKER_03Let's hope for a Nick Win. Let's enjoy. We all need laughs today, so let's enjoy Kevin's toast. I mean, it's gonna roast toast. It's gonna be great. Yeah, it's gonna be awesome. Cheers. I love you. Cheers, love ya.
SPEAKER_00Let me give you an update on diners following the conversation last week and everybody saying, you and Kay saying that I'm crazy for not liking diners. I'm not making that up. You all think I'm crazy for not liking diners. So last week I had to go to awake and I went to the Pleasantville Diner because it was conveniently located. Okay. And I have to say that it was a beautiful place. They were super nice. And I ordered an omelet, and the omelet was delicious. And as I'm waiting for the omelet, I still have the menu in front of me, and I'm flipping through the pages. As I flip through the seven pages of items, I'm like, this is why I don't like diners because nobody should be able to make all of these things. But they do. I stick with what I said. However, I will say that the Pleasantville Diner, I will highly recommend. They were just a lovely group of people. My food was delicious. Now, did you see the poll this week?
SPEAKER_03Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_00Do you know what the results were?
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_00So we asked, can you guess which podcaster is enjoying breakfast at the diner?
SPEAKER_03I saw that question.
SPEAKER_00So I've already given the big reveal that that the answer was me. Do you know what percentage of our listeners got it correct? No, I don't. 20%. Nine percent got it correct.
SPEAKER_03Well, because we said you hate diners.
SPEAKER_00It was almost a trick question. If you listen to the podcast and you see that go up, I feel like the only answer is producer Ed, or else why would you ask it?
SPEAKER_03I don't know. But we went back to that tops diner, and if I can ever get you guys to Newark, this diner, I'm telling you, Ed. I am telling you, this is a special diner. It's special.
SPEAKER_00Well, nothing like it. At the risk of offending our Newark, New Jersey listeners. You're never gonna go. The combination of diner and Newark, New Jersey.
SPEAKER_03It's gonna be my goal to get you to go there.
SPEAKER_00Unless the killers are playing down there, then that's oh, there we go.
SPEAKER_03I just gotta get the killers to play in Newark. That's all I gotta do.
SPEAKER_00Which by the way, they I'm 90% sure they did one time. And so I I have been in Newark, but only when the killers were there.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_00Well, they're coming back. Everybody thinks, by the way, that you are the person that went to the diner. It was 83, it was a resounding 83%.
SPEAKER_03I live right by the best diner.
SPEAKER_00Retirement plus diners equals. Makes sense.
SPEAKER_03Retirees should be at the diner.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Even young retirees like you. All right. Well, if you if you choose to share my diner update, uh Well, I recorded it. Yeah. So
