This Week We Need 2 Talk Taylor Swift's wedding, The Series Finale of The Bear, Sweet Magnolia's, Sullivan's Crossing, Elle, Larry David's New Show, The Sheet Detective, Dutton Ranch, I Will Find You, Below Deck, Real Housewives of Rhode Island and the need for a Generator.
This week on We Need to Talk, we talk in the dark about generators. The series finale of the fair. And were you invited to T-Swift's wedding? Good morning, everyone.
SPEAKER_01I cannot see your face.
SPEAKER_02You cannot see my face, but thank God because I have a headlamp on and I'm sitting with a glass of wine in the dark because we have no power. But the show must go on because we did not have a show last week, and I have to do wedding recap.
SPEAKER_01And also, I have no power because our lines are down and it looks like a murder scene in the front of my house. But we have a generator, so it's we have air conditioning and we have our stuff on. We're fully on generator.
SPEAKER_02But let me just say the difference between the way you look and the way I look. This is somebody who owns a generator. Clearly, you look like a million bucks, as opposed to me who has no air conditioner and no generator who does not look like a million bucks.
SPEAKER_01I took a shower and did my hair for you today.
SPEAKER_02Oh, good. That's nice. That's great. So happy for you. I managed to save the wine in a cooler last night.
SPEAKER_01So that's Well my gosh, that's right. What happens to all your beverages?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's a problem. If it doesn't go back on in two hours, we got a problem. Don't worry. I took some Hampton waters. I took some Chardonnay. I took my Casamigos. I filled up my ice last night. I mean, you gotta get your priorities.
SPEAKER_01A thousand percent. Now you know when there's an emergency, what you're gonna grab, that's what you're gonna grab. And my cat. That's all I need. Also, side note Mercury is in retrograde. It started on June 29th and it ends on July 23rd. And that's when things go haywire. So my aura ring died. We have this storm. I have no power. And my blow dryer that I've had for 20 years totally went on fire yesterday.
unknownJesus.
SPEAKER_01All because of Mercury. Mercury being in retrograde. Things go crazy, things break, communications bad. Look at our communication right now. I can't even see you. No, I know it's bad. It's bad. This is it. I mean, between I blame Taylor. This Taylor Swift wedding situation has me really upset. Is that where we start today? Because there's so much to unpack. Because one of the themes was Alice in Wonderland, and then the other theme was Wizard of Oz. So I've gone down the rabbit hole. I know everybody that's at the wedding. I I know people that didn't get invited. I know the themes. I know as much as I could possibly know about the outfits and the 20-minute vows. We cried, we laughed, we danced. I know that there were bars everywhere. I know they turned the place into a garden. I saw trees leaving. I saw trees coming. I mean, I've done it all. But I think what bothers me is did we really need a thousand people at the wedding? I don't understand why it had to be such a spectacle. I wanted it to be intimate and lovely and small and just like the Kelsey's and the Swifts and just didn't want this gigantic spectacle. The World Cup's bad enough, the city's bad enough. They closed down Madison Sear Garden, they closed down all these streets. There are people hanging from the Empire State Building. More chaos. We've said this on our podcast for years.
SPEAKER_02We don't consider ourselves Swifties, but there's something about her. There's something about this relationship, all the things that made us kind of all in and love it. And I just felt very mad. I've been mad at her since that whole Nick debacle thing. Right.
SPEAKER_01You're already out, you already have a foot out the door.
SPEAKER_02And then you want to tell, we were saying over and over again, it can't be true. It's gotta be a scam. Like, you did not believe it. I didn't believe it. Not at all. And then to come with a thousand of your closest friends and literally with the armed guards, rent out Madison Square Garden to me goes against every single thing that you pretend that you are. You lost credibility, Taylor, in this whole wedding. You lost your credibility. All the things you say and defund the police, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. You have security up the wazoo, and you could close down streets on July 4th weekend. Right. 250 years, God bless America. You close down the streets and decide it's just all fucking about you. Now, I get it and I appreciate that $26 million went to local charities, New York City charities. So the city thanks you. But you you know what you need to do today, Taylor? You need to go to fucking tracks and you need to pay all those bartenders and all the wait staff that hasn't had a customer in the fucking days that you decided you were gonna shut down Madison Square Garden area during the World Cup when they're getting all the tourists and there's soccer on 24-7.
SPEAKER_01A thousand percent agree. I just don't understand the thought process at all. I you have this beautiful home in Rhode Island. Why didn't you take care of it there? I mean, does it that's important that a thousand people attended?
SPEAKER_02It's just another example. Who's the asshole that got married and fucking and closed down the city? Elon? Who got married closed down the city in Italy? What is it, George Clooney?
SPEAKER_01No, who was Italy? I don't even remember closing down Italy.
SPEAKER_02It's just another example of a billionaire using their money to ship in a thousand people and the guest list.
SPEAKER_01It's so ridiculous. It was ridiculous. I was trying to figure out how everybody that I saw that was invited, how they are connected. Why is Adam Sandler the officiant? Are they best friends? Adam met Kelsey first. Yeah. Yes, I know that, but best friends to do the officiating.
SPEAKER_02The guest list. Some of these people, I'm like, why are they invited? George Stephenopoulos?
SPEAKER_01I know. What? Why is George Stephanopoulos and the GMA crew invited?
SPEAKER_02I don't know. The whole thing is then I'm annoyed that it really is become my whole feed now. Everybody's at this wedding, everybody's posting. I just can't take another minute.
SPEAKER_01I know. I know. Isn't it crazy how we've turned? We were obsessed in a good way, and now we're obsessed in a bad way. Yeah, I don't like it. I don't like what she did. I'm very mad. I guess we were never real fans then, because real fans are fans through thick and thin, like you and the Knicks, like you and the Giants, like you and the. I get it. I get it. You know, you're a fan through thick and thin. So maybe we were not real fans at all. No, I know. Because now we're mad. That's terrible.
SPEAKER_02Now we're mad. But I will say I am enjoying that out of the 1,000 people, there's no Blake Lively. I know.
SPEAKER_011,000 people and no Blake Lively. Which really, really says a lot. Because if the DJ from Europe came and Blake Lively didn't come. And also she was in a fight with Carly Kloss, and Carly Kloss was there.
SPEAKER_02Everyone's there.
SPEAKER_01I mean, everybody was there but Blake Lively. It was a total FU to Blake. Harry wasn't there. He was busy. He's on tour. He's on tour.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. He's before Blake is shady too because when Taylor's people put out something about her, they go through entertainment or yes, and they go to entertainment or they go to people, right? Yes. They never go to page six ever. And so, you know, I love page six, but it was reported a couple weeks ago that there was an olive branch and that Blake was getting an invite. But that was wrong because then immediately Taylor's camp was like false information. So I think Blake posted that herself.
SPEAKER_01Probably did.
SPEAKER_02She didn't go to the Bachelorette party.
SPEAKER_01There's nobody out there that could go against Tree Payne, the best PR communication specialist in the book. There's just nobody better than it. Totally in the book. No, nobody better. She's got one client and she handles everything perfect. I saw her online. I saw everybody.
SPEAKER_02Like all the NFL crew is there.
SPEAKER_01Like our girl Erin is at the wedding. She looked hot. They all look listen, nobody looked bad. Did anybody look bad? No, nobody looked bad. Not that it's just annoying. I know.
SPEAKER_02But all right, it's over. Stop talking about it now, everybody. It's just over. You know what's probably gonna happen is she probably she took a thousand phones. Oh, we're gonna have a private ceremony with a thousand of my closest friends in Madison Square Garden. We're gonna take your phone. Give me a fucking break. Anyway, she took a thousand phones, but I bet you somewhere we did Madison Square Garden. It was filmed.
SPEAKER_01I guess with documentaries coming out about yes, about the wedding. A thousand percent. And guess who's gonna be watching it?
SPEAKER_02It's gonna happen. Me. Because we're stupid. It's true.
SPEAKER_01We're so stupid. Oh my god, we're such amazers.
SPEAKER_02All right, all right, it's over, it's over. Well, let me have a sip of my wine. It's getting hot in this basement now.
SPEAKER_01Oh my lord. You should have some ice with that wine, right? No, I would never do that, but I know, I know.
SPEAKER_02It's um really hot. So, you know what else is over? The bear. And I have to say that I personally was ready to say goodbye to the characters on the bear. I'm okay with saying goodbye to them, except for Richie. Because I love him so much, and that character that he plays, it's the whole show.
SPEAKER_01I feel like you could go get a job at another restaurant and we can have a new show about him at a restaurant or something.
SPEAKER_02I know. I just love him, and I'm grieving the fact that I will never know what happens in the next phase of Richie's life.
SPEAKER_01Because maybe there will be something coming. We don't know. In your opinion, we've had five seasons of the bear, very uneven seasons, very uneven. And, you know, some people were talking about online would the bear be one of those shows that is on the best of list, which it already was, which I did not think it should be. I thought season one, two, and five were solid. Two was a little less solid than one and five, but seasons three and four stunk.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think it's one of those shows where there are episodes that are priceless. We always talk about the Christmas Eve episode. Christmas Eve spoons. We always go with that, but the series itself took a little bit of a nosedive in the. It really did.
SPEAKER_01It was very, very uneven. And I think Chris Storer got very experimental with what he was trying to accomplish. And it was just a little much for me. And also the anxiety of watching the show, I've told so many people you gotta watch the bear, especially if you're a food person. And a lot of people who have tried it said the problem is it gives them so much anxiety, which it gave me a tremendous amount of anxiety as well. But I still managed to get through it, and I really am glad that I stuck with it. But I would say that when I go in the future to recommend the bear, it's gonna come with a lot of caveats, right? It's gonna come with it's a great show, but blah, blah, blah, gave me anxiety, uneven seasons, some performances incredible. You need to see this, you need to see that, the food situation.
SPEAKER_02No, I agree. But I feel that for us, particularly you and I, they wrapped it up in a nice little book for us. Like that's what we like. Now I'm sure there's gonna be people out there that say they didn't like this season, but for us, I'm always one of those people that needs to know where all my characters are, what happens. And they did a very good job of doing that for me. And it was very emotional in the last two episodes. Yeah, and I was like, I was crying and I was loving Richie, and it was good tears, and I was just staring at the TV when it was over. Like, literally, I was just staring at the TV.
SPEAKER_01I was paralyzed at the time.
SPEAKER_02Job well done, guys. Like, job well done.
SPEAKER_01So prior to the bear, we only knew Ebon Moss back from girls, right? Like, there was nothing else that he's been in that. He's amazing. He's the best. Now I feel like he's probably gonna get tremendous amount of offers and roles. So I'm looking forward to seeing what he does next. But this Richie character, I agree with you. I'm gonna miss Richie. He started season one so broken and such a mess. And the evolution of Richie and where he ended up was just incredible. And we really did see the arc of how that happened to him. And I think that Chris Dorr did a really good job with that. So even if the series was uneven, the recommendation would include just to watch the evolution of Richie would be enough to watch the show. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Right. So season five is all out, it's on Hulu. It is a great time if you have not seen the bear to just sit in with no power, which you can't watch it today. But Ed is one of those people that got through a couple of episodes of season one and is like, I'm out. I do understand that. All right, so what else do we have? So let me just say this: you all doubted me. They said it couldn't be done, they said it's impossible, but I knew I could do it, and I am up to date on Love Island.
SPEAKER_01I don't know how you did it.
SPEAKER_0228 episodes.
SPEAKER_01I don't even know how you did that. That's quite a feat. You deserve some sort of an award for that, right?
SPEAKER_02They say it couldn't be done.
SPEAKER_01I totally never watched it after episode two.
SPEAKER_02Well, I say this every summer. It is the highlight of every summer, but the way that this cast talks, I almost tell them like, am I it just makes me feel older than I am? The slang and the terms that they use in regular conversation with one another is unreal. And I had to what?
SPEAKER_01Like what? Like Riz?
SPEAKER_02And I had to text my sister to just am I too old? Have I aged out of Love Island?
SPEAKER_01Your sister's starting to age out.
SPEAKER_02But I had to text her and she goes, No, these people are insane. I go, Okay, fine. I felt better about the whole situation. Nobody talks normal, it's all like just slang.
SPEAKER_01Do they have subtitles that you can what they're saying?
SPEAKER_02It's just a train wreck that you have to watch though.
SPEAKER_01I just want you to know that that's a pretty amazing accomplishment.
SPEAKER_02Thank you. And Sierra looks beautiful, she always does. Yeah, she looks hot. She took over there. I don't watch those episodes, but I did look to see how she looks and how she's doing.
SPEAKER_01She does the recaps, right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, she does get on Wednesdays. They do interviews and stuff like that. Right. Meanwhile, Kyle is having Summerhouse post this situation with his ex. He is all over the Hamptons partying it up. It's gonna be some season of Summerhouse watching him party it up. All I gotta say about that.
SPEAKER_01All right. Also, oh wait, side note, did you notice like Tom Brady stayed really late at the white party, but he left Taylor Swift's wedding early?
SPEAKER_02Is that who's he talking to at Taylor Swift's wedding? He probably has a little action waiting for him somewhere.
SPEAKER_01Alex Earl, he's talking to Alex.
SPEAKER_02She's not at the wedding, though.
SPEAKER_01No, he's probably texting her. Oh, yeah, he's probably texting her.
SPEAKER_02Such a tool. Like, I need to know that Tom Brady left early. I don't really give a fuck.
SPEAKER_01He wanted us to know. But did you hear or see the video of Harry Styles doing bridge over troubled water? Yes. That was one of the best renditions. His voice was sick.
SPEAKER_02I've been watching a lot of Harry Styles videos. Amazing.
SPEAKER_01Amazing. He's in really, really tip top shape. Oh, he's unbelievable.
SPEAKER_02All right, so the real housewives of Rhode Island. What a fucking great lightning in a bottle there, Andrew.
SPEAKER_01Lightning in a bottle. Amazing. Amazing. Season one has ended.
SPEAKER_02Reunion shit show. They're everyone's wearing a shade of blue.
SPEAKER_01They're all matching with their husbands.
SPEAKER_02They're all matching. They look like they're going to the prom. I am I am a little sad that Liz is out though.
SPEAKER_01You know what? It makes sense, though. She's so much older than all of them. Definitely makes sense. I think she's got to go do her menopause cannabis thing with Dolores. She's busy, she's a grandmother. She shouldn't be doing well.
SPEAKER_02I think it's more than that. I think there's some shady stuff happening.
SPEAKER_01I definitely think there's shady stuff.
SPEAKER_02Obviously, when you're on a reality show, everything comes out. But Rula and her husband still doing the show, which I would be shocked that he would want to continue. You know what I do think is interesting? The guys, even though this guy's a dick, clearly, they're all friends.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02They really like each other. They're going out, hanging out. Their significant others are going at each other and they're like, all right, yeah, let's go for drinks. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01It's okay. We just had a beer. It's all right.
SPEAKER_02That's why the brain of a man and the brain of a woman is just unbelievable.
SPEAKER_01I just think that however Andy found these women.
SPEAKER_02I enjoyed every moment of the season. And now this is the only reason why I was a little shocked with Liz. And I understand what you're saying. So that's why I think it's deeper than that. It's like legal issues because now they're all this brings so much money to them. They're all doing different ads and all these things. And they're popping up all over my social media. For her to say no thank you to that, there's more than I also heard that the New Jersey stuff's not going well.
SPEAKER_01I don't even know if it's gonna come back.
SPEAKER_02They said that there's no drama.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and I feel like Teresa and Melissa buried the hatchet for money, and I guess it's just not authentic.
SPEAKER_02And it's funny because they brought Dolores on the Rhode Island as a friend because they thought that they needed a familiar face, and she wasn't needed at all. They were great. They were great, so she's not welcome back either.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, did you see the video of Andy Cohen's beach house that Architectural Digest put out? Yes. That house is freaking cool as shit.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's cool as shit. I mean, he's no joke.
SPEAKER_01He's no joke. He's the real deal.
SPEAKER_02Last time we spoke, because we were off last week.
SPEAKER_01Yes, I was in Bentonville.
SPEAKER_02I was on a concert tour.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_02I saw Rufus, Jack Johnson, and Barry Matilau within three days of each other. And they're so different, by the way.
SPEAKER_01Why did Barry do?
SPEAKER_02The same person that goes to Barry does not go to Rufus. I wouldn't go to the other.
SPEAKER_01I'm not a big Jack Johnson person, and I'm not a big Rufus person, but I am obviously a Barry person because we went together, but I don't know that I can go anymore. I think it's between Barry and what you know. No, it's too much. It's too much.
SPEAKER_02I don't think I can handle it. I'll tell you what happened to me. I had tickets last year, and I felt the same way of you just saying that now. So I didn't go. So I bailed on my tickets. And then when he came back this year and he claims it's it, and I really do believe it is it because he's got so much worse health-wise. We said we were gonna go, and then he canceled. So it was a reschedule of his cancellation. And to have karaoke have him. I get it, but everyone loves him. Everyone that's sitting in that room, the arena loves him, and he feels all the love, and and I'm done. I said goodbye to him, and that's it. Now I'm but anyway, so I was on my concert tour, and you are in Bettonville, and we left off in our last episode of We Need to Talk about maternal instinct, but I had not you had not finished it yet.
SPEAKER_01What do you think? I'm telling you, it's fucking bonkers, yeah, right now uh Taylor's still in jail, and she her appeal did not go well.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, as she should.
SPEAKER_01She's psychotic.
SPEAKER_02I was not expecting it to go in the way it went. I was just expecting this crazy person to fake having a baby, fake having a baby, all the lies. I have money, I don't have and the way it went, and I don't even know if I want to say it because I feel like is it time to release what happened?
SPEAKER_01Like, should we do the spoiler or should we wait one more week? It's been three weeks. I think it's been three weeks.
SPEAKER_02I think we could talk about it out there in general. It's a true story. I couldn't believe how bad it really was. How disgusting.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, she basically killed her pregnant friend and took the baby and then pretended that the baby was her baby in the car.
SPEAKER_02No, it's sick. It's a level, there's a level of insanity that's not even comprehendable. I don't know why this is the response. It's not like that documentary where we're trying to figure out if she had an episode, did she drive herself into the episode? No, that's the crash one.
SPEAKER_01It's like that woman also didn't get the appeal. I know, but this is I think she's on death row.
SPEAKER_02She's the youngest person ever on death row, I think. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I think ever.
SPEAKER_02If you have not watched Maternal Instant, I don't even know what to say. You're like, oh my god. I don't even know what to say, but there's a reason why it stayed in the top 10 because it's crazy. It's crazy. It actually is crazy. And mind you, it was only a few years ago.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, 2020.
SPEAKER_02I also, since we left off, I also finished Magnolia. Sweet. Pour it out. Let me just say the only good thing about that show is the line, Pour It Out. I love that line. I love when they cheers each other before they talk about their life problems, that they say, Pour it out. That's a great line.
SPEAKER_01Well, the only other thing I do like is I like Joanna Swisher and I like Cal as a couple because he reminds me of her real husband, Nick Swisher.
SPEAKER_02Yes, I love the Swishers, but that show is on. It's terrible. And Ed is in the background.
SPEAKER_01Is he yelling? Like, what the fuck are you watching?
SPEAKER_02And he says, and this is what we said. I think you said it last time. Nobody talks like this. Nobody talks like this. Like, what are they doing?
SPEAKER_01No, it's ridiculous. Acting's terrible. Do you think it's coming back? I hope it's not coming back.
SPEAKER_02Usually with that show, nothing happens until the last 30 seconds, and then it leaves you on a cliffhanger. There's no cliffhanger.
SPEAKER_01I mean, this was the stupidest wedding I've ever seen in my life. Yeah. And also, this Dana Sue, but I am gonna be mean. She has a great family. The guy's working his ass off, and she's pissed off at him. He's trying so hard to provide for his family and to do the right thing. And all she does is yell at him and make him feel less than and make him feel not worthy. And not to be mean again, but Dana Sue, come on. The show is not good.
SPEAKER_02And now makes me really after after I end that show and I'm annoyed because it's so bad and I wasted my hours of my life. I saw that Sullivan's Crossing now the season I couldn't get because Hulu has a fucking Hulu extra special plus part, whatever premium. I couldn't get it, and now it dropped on Netflix. So now I'm forced to watch it.
SPEAKER_01If you thought that Sweet Magnolias was bad and terrible, you're gonna lose your mind if you get through all of Sullivan's Crossing. You're gonna literally punch the TV. But you think now I shouldn't watch it. I don't want you to be miserable, but I want you to watch it purely for content reasons. But it's so bad.
SPEAKER_02It just makes no sense. You know, I kept blaming the fact that I was like catching up on Love Island. I'm not tuning into Sullivan's Crossing. And now that I'm caught up, you know what's gonna happen to me. It's gonna be 5:30 a.m. and I'm gonna be watching Sullivan's Crossing and annoyed. At least I warned you. Yeah, I know. Okay, the other thing that we watched that I I think we brought it up in the last show. I had not watched it yet, is I will find you.
SPEAKER_01Okay, I finished it yesterday. Very enjoyable, very enjoyable. Anyway, very unrealistic.
SPEAKER_02It makes no sense. No sense at all. So unrealistic, but I love the people, cast great, yeah, very enjoyable, and it had me go in episode to episode.
SPEAKER_01Yes, I was riveted, I was yelling at the TV, it's a Harlan Coben, whatever you may call it, kind of show. Yep, that's and yes, I love the cast, Milo Ventamiglia, Madeline Stowe, Sam Worthington, everybody great, loved it. The show made no sense, and really it could have been a four-episode show, not an eight-episode show, but they just kept us running around for no reason, and nothing at all ever made sense whatsoever.
SPEAKER_02I did think that just jumping back to the bear for a second, I did think that at one point, even though I was enjoying it and I didn't want it to end because I knew it was the end, but I was like, How many hours is it raining now? I'm sitting on my couch, I've been in the rain, I've literally been in the rain for six episodes. I felt like that could have been cut too.
SPEAKER_01Not only was it raining, it was pouring. And you know what's so funny to me? It just goes to show you when you can get a good reservation, what you'll do. Oh, I exactly. If you were going to Houston's, you'd cancel. If you're going to the hottest restaurant in town, you'll go through a flood. You won't care that there's no power, you don't care that they have us. You need to get in because you'll never get in again if you don't know. No, but we think like that. So I relate it to these people. Well, they had three turns.
SPEAKER_02I know, but I would be one of those turns. I would go. Yes, so would I with a garbage bag on, you know, running into the street. 100% I'm going. Yeah. No, I agree with you. But it just reminded me, like when we were saying that it was too many episodes. But anyway, I will find you if you have not watched that.
SPEAKER_01I would say it's worth watching, just remember that it makes no sense.
SPEAKER_02No, it makes no sense. But it's good. That's really all I've been watching because I've I've been in my Love Island bubble. But then this morning I was gonna knock out a few things, but I couldn't because we have no power.
SPEAKER_01Did you watch the Dutton Ranch?
SPEAKER_02No, I'm so behind in the Dutton Ranch. Oh great, but now that ended, right? Yeah, it's over. So now that you watched it all, because when it first started, we were like on the fence about what we thought. But now that you watch the eight episodes, you're saying you like it.
SPEAKER_01I mean, again, certain things do not make any sense. No, nothing ever makes sense. And since you didn't watch it, I can't tell you the biggest thing that I learned about the show. But very enjoyable. And the the finale had a super juicy cliffhanger. You know I love them, so I'm obviously gonna go back and watch it. And I would say the last two episodes are so Beth and Rippish that you're gonna be so excited.
SPEAKER_02Yes, I have to go back and watch that. Okay, and I didn't watch any of that Larry David stuff.
SPEAKER_01There's only two out so far. Okay. And what I have to say is if you like Larry David, I do, I love Larry David. You need to watch it. If you don't like Larry David, don't bother. It's basically curb your enthusiasm because there's no script, it's all improvised, and it's produced by the Obamas. There is a little bit of a political situation that may or may not make some people uncomfortable. They pick different parts of history and it's Larry's take on it. So there's Alexander Graham Bell inventing the telephone, there's the signing of the Declaration of Independence, there's the Rosa Parks on the bus.
SPEAKER_02So whose idea was this?
SPEAKER_01I feel like the Obamas and Larry and Jerry Seinfeld are sitting around going, This would be funny.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean, that's an interesting concept, especially with the Obamas involved.
SPEAKER_01And also, you know, it's released around 4th of July. America, blah, blah, blah.
SPEAKER_02I'm gonna tune in if I don't like it.
SPEAKER_01Well, the best the best part of all of it is you get to see Larry with hair because everybody that he depicts, he's wearing wigs. So seeing him with hair is to me the best part. There was a couple uh historical moments that he chose that you could get annoyed at. And then the other thing that I was very surprised about, and I guess I didn't read about it, was Rob Reiner's in it.
SPEAKER_02Oh, sad.
SPEAKER_01He plays George Washington in one of the episodes, and I just wasn't prepared for that. And then they do a in memorium at the end for him.
SPEAKER_02They did that for the bear, too. Yes, yes, very sad. Yeah. All right, so I'll tune into that. And there was something else that you told me to tune into, but obviously I have no power, so I didn't. And that was uh Sheep Detective on Prime. Loved it, but I didn't watch it because I have no power.
SPEAKER_01So The Sheep Detective is a movie, and it stars Hugh Jackman, and the voices of the sheep are Brett Goldstein, it's a murder mystery, and the sheep solve the mystery, but it's a great cast, great voices. I highly recommend it. It's fun. Me and Dylan watched it when I was in Bentonville, and he hates everything. He loved it.
SPEAKER_02All right, so then I'll recommend I started.
SPEAKER_01I started L on Prime Video, and I'm not liking it at all.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so I'm not tuning into that. Great, because I got I, you know, I got things to watch now.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Your fault, London, my fault, London. Watched both of those.
SPEAKER_02Right, because you did it the right way. Right? I did it in the right order. Correct. So now I only watch the second one. You need to go back and watch the first one. So I gotta go back and watch the first one, and I'll be ready for the third one.
SPEAKER_01Yes, and Nick is from the Buccaneers. Did you know that? Buccaneers. Remember, you know who he is, right? Yes, yes. So that's where you knew him from. So that was good. When did the Buccaneers come back? Oh, not for a little while. It'll show I thought that was a summer show. And what else did I watch? The only other thing that I'm really watching now is Below Deck Med with Captain Sandy because this is another one when Johnny Damon's back. Why is Johnny Damon always on Below Deck? He loves it. He loves Captain Sandy, and he always invites crazy people. This time he invited me. Johnny Damon is so crazy. He's sporting a major, major man bun.
SPEAKER_02Oh, he had that last time.
SPEAKER_01I thought it's really bad now.
SPEAKER_02Really bad. It's gotta go. No, I'm not up to date on that either. Well, but I I got some work to do. I'm busy, I'm watching every wheel of Taylor Swift. It's just stupid. 250 years. I know. Crazy. Fireworks. All right, great. No power. I'm sweating in the basement.
SPEAKER_01A sweating hen in the basement. I I don't want to say it, but maybe think about a generator for the future.
SPEAKER_02Uh oh, so you're like a Monday morning quarterback. Every time something like this happens, I say the same thing, but you know, I don't think about dropping a spare 10 grand is like annoying.
SPEAKER_01Well, you could get the kind we used to have. Right now, when our power goes out, we go auto-generate. Yeah, I know, I know. But we had another one that was much less expensive prior to this one that you have in the in your garage. Yeah, garage one. And that's not that expensive. And for the few times a year or a few times every couple years that it happens, it's worth having it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I know.
SPEAKER_01All right, great. Well, just for the wine alone to save the wine. Yeah, it's a process to save the wine. That's what I'm saying. Yes, I do have a game based on the wedding. I figured we would do like a wedding theme just about people who had insane weddings. So these are five true or false questions. And this wedding, did it really happen? If you would have given me Taylor Swift, I would have said you would have said false. I would have said false. Yep, exactly. Okay, so true or false. Olivia Wilde eloped at Burning Man. True. That is true. When she was 19, she's crazy. She eloped at Burning Man in a school bus.
SPEAKER_02Olivia Wilde is nuts.
SPEAKER_01Yes. Well, that one was true. Okay. True or false. Elizabeth.
SPEAKER_02He was there. He was at the wedding.
SPEAKER_01Yes, Jason Sudakis was there.
SPEAKER_02Jason Sudukis is at the wedding. Not sure why.
SPEAKER_01Not sure.
SPEAKER_02Machine Gunn Kelly was at the wedding.
SPEAKER_01Not sure why.
unknownLike what?
SPEAKER_01Like I'm trying to do the six degrees of Kelly Swift. Six degrees separate. Yeah, yeah. Six degrees of Taylor Swift. Like I couldn't figure out why Jason Sudeikis was invited.
SPEAKER_02No, he was there. Okay, go ahead. So that was one.
SPEAKER_01Elizabeth Taylor got married at Neverland Ranch. True or false. Oh wow.
SPEAKER_02Well, she was friends with him. But I'm gonna say false.
SPEAKER_01No, she did to Larry Fortensi.
unknownYes.
SPEAKER_02She was friends with Michael.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. He opened up his delightful ranch for her wedding. Yeah, God, that's another crazy documentary. Okay, God. Okay, true or false. Courtney Kardashian and Travis Barker got married at a drum convention.
SPEAKER_02Drum? Uh-huh. False.
SPEAKER_01Correct. They got married in Italy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_01I mean, she's not that stupid. True or false. Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner got married.
SPEAKER_02Love Joe Jonas.
SPEAKER_01Got married on the set of Game of Thrones.
SPEAKER_02Now Sophie Turner must have been there last night at the wedding.
SPEAKER_01I did not see her.
SPEAKER_02I did not see her, but they're friends.
SPEAKER_01Yes, didn't Taylor lend her a part her? Yes.
SPEAKER_02Yes. What's the question? She got married where?
SPEAKER_01On one of the sets of Game of Thrones. False. Correct. They got married at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Vegas.
SPEAKER_02Oh wow, that's funny.
SPEAKER_01And then last but not least, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher got married at the Apple headquarters in Palo Alto. Are they even married?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02I thought they were just together, like together for years. Like Goldie Home.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I don't know what to say to them.
SPEAKER_02I'm gonna say then true.
SPEAKER_01False. Nobody knows where they got married.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, because I don't think they got married. That's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_01They say they're married, but there's no photos, there's no proof. I don't think they're married.
SPEAKER_02That's a trick question.
SPEAKER_01Well, you've tricked me in the past, so it's your turn to be tricked.
SPEAKER_02All right, we're back, everybody. We're back. You can drink in the dark today. Stay safe. Happy birthday, America, and have a good week. Love ya. Love ya.
